Moncontour is a small medieval city just 10 minutes from Plouguenast. It has an 11th century church and a walled centre. You can walk around the windy cobbled streets where you will find a number of typically French small restaurants and bars. It has a particularly good seafood restaurant to which people travel from miles around, and a very interesting medieval-themed restaurant where you can go in fancy dress if you so wish!!!

Whilst the major towns of Rennes, St Brieuc, St Malo and the Mount St. Michel are an easy day trip away.
